Texas Electrical License Registration Forms

Happy Friday! Most of us are ready and eager to start the weekend yesterday.  It's been pretty chilly around the Austin area and I tell you I haven't been happier to see a Friday in a long while.  We are on our way to the Houston seminar and it sure beats hanging out in the cold all week.

Many guys have called asking us where they can find the applications for the Texas electrical license.   I know that TDLR updated some forms and got rid of a couple altogether, so I wanted to help corral the important and most frequently used ones into this blog for easy access.

Welcome to the year 2020!  Well, for us in TX we are still in the year 2017. That means that if you are going to take your electrical exam, you will be testing out of the 2017 NEC code book. TDLR is adopting the 2020 NEC code by September 1st.  As of September 1st, the PSI exam for the electrical license will be based on that code. You can take your exam now until August under the 2017 code but after that, you will need to update to the new code. Electrician Candidate Information Bulletin

Good Morning, Today we received a call from someone asking us the phone number to the PSI so they can change their appointment.  While we don't do the actual exams here, we are more than happy to help :)  We put together a cheat blog with the link to the ECIB , Table of Contents, FAQ's, and some shameless marketing for our seminars and books.  (I'd be a terrible business person if I didn't add a couple of sales links ;) Feel free to share this page with any Texas electrician preparing for their exam. This will come in handy. The Electrical Candidate Information Bulletin can be found here .  You may download and save it, print it or just read it online. Make sure to bookmark this link so you can refer to it during your studies.
